A Brief History

UNIVASF was created in 2004 with the aim of providing an opportunity for young people of this region because the nearest university is 500 km away. UNIVASF also aims to promote the region's development potential leveraging their natural and mineral resources to contribute to the development of new technologies, research, and their growing economy. UNIVASF is located in three Brazilian States: Bahia, Pernambuco and Piauí creating six campuses, two in Pernambuco: Agricultural Sciences and Petrolina Centro, three in Bahia: Juazeiro, Senhor do Bonfim and Paulo Afonso and one in Piauí: Serra de Capivara.
